  5. 1. Brief description
  6.  
  7.    1st Security Center is a powerful security utility that allows you to 
  8.    restrict access to Windows important resources. This easy-to-use utility 
  9.    helps you to keep your computer in order. It enables you to impose a variety 
  10.    of access restrictions to protect your privacy. You can deny access to each 
  11.    individual component of several Control Panel applets, including Display, 
  12.    Network, Passwords, Printers, and System. You can disable your boot keys, 
  13.    DOS programs, Registry editing and network access. You have got an ability 
  14.    to hide your desktop icons, individual drives, Start menu items and the 
  15.    taskbar features, it enables you to stop others from tampering with your desktop. 
  16.    If you set up the special list of allowed applications nobody will run unwanted 
  17.    programs. 1st Security Center supports Internet Explorer security 
  18.    that enables you to customize many aspects of the Internet Explorer Web 
  19.    browser. It lets you disable individual menu items, prevent others from 
  20.    editing your Favorites, disable individual tabs in the Internet Options 
  21.    dialog, restrict access to the IE browser options. Also the program can log 
  22.    WHO and WHEN uses your computer to the special log file , so you always know 
  23.    who has used your computer. The administrator password prevents anybody to 
  24.    run the program and change settings and uninstall the program. 
  25.    The "Import/Export" function helps you set up the same settings on several 
  26.    computers very easy. 
  27.    Security restrictions can be applied universally or just to specific users 
  28.    because 1st Security Center has got the multiuser intuitional interface.

  30. 2. Installation

  32.    Use the following steps to install 1st Security Center.
  33.    If you've downloaded the self - extracting installation package named 
  34.    1scarch.exe just execute it and follow  the setup instructions. 
  35.    If you've downloaded the compressed archive file named like "1sc.zip" 
  36.    unpack it to the temporary folder and execute the setup.exe file. 
  37.    After the succesful installation run the program from new "1st Security 
  38.    Center" program group.

  42.    The 32-bit version requires Windows 95 or 98 or ME or NT or 2000 or XP

  46.    For full documentation, including context sensitive help,
  47.    select "Help" menu item from 1st Security Center Program group.
